6 word memoir meme

New Kid tagged me awhile back for the 6 word memoir meme, and it's been driving me crazy ever since. But, after writing the last post, I figured out the *perfect* 6-word memoir for myself. Granted, all but one word of the following belong to the inimitable Dr. Seuss, but that's part of the point -- it's a literary allusion, see?

What if I ran the zoo?

Here are the instructions for the meme:

1. Write your own six word memoir

2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like

3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere. (Note: I have no idea who the originator was, but New Kid was tagged by Dr. Crazy.)

4. Tag five more blogs with links

I'm going to tag two bloggers I know haven't done this yet -- Tommy at Macerating Shallots and also The Pastry Pirate (because I'd like to see her try to fit *her* life into six words! hee!) -- and if you haven't either, consider yourself tagged if you wish.

Bring it.

Though I have to say, the meme for me has already been written, by Tolkien no less:

Not all who wander are lost.

I've actually been seriously considering getting that tattooed on my back in a tasteful small sorta-Celtic font. I probably will for my birthday, if the lone tattoo shop that was here ever reopens.

Damn that JRR for writing you the *perfect* six word memoir!

That would make a cool tattoo, btw.

I rise to your challenge, Virago, and look forward to inflicting this burden upon five of my fellow food bloggers!

C'mon, Pirate, I know there are tattoo parlors in that nearby big city! Or you could just commit some heinous crime and then have the tattoo done by a fellow inmate...

This is delightful! I work for Smith Magazine, where the six word challenge originated. I've been scouring the internet looking for the best responses to this meme, and I just wanted to let you know that I love this one. Even if five of the six words aren't yours, just adding 'what' opens up a (great) potential story. It's whimsical and thought-provoking. If you're interested, you should post it at smithmag.net--we'll consider it for our next book.
