See, the thing is, that $15 was supposed to be for *one night* of babysitting a week, and instead, I had constant duties every freakin' day. I think the Mrs. thought, "Well, that's what the oldest child in a family of five would do without pay." But the thing is, I WASN'T HER CHILD! Man, I should've left a note with a bill for back pay plus interest in their house the other day. The door was wide open, after all (because you can do that up there, too). That would've been hilarious. Why didn't I think of that?Dr. Viragohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03960384082670286328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15231380.post-86079836051416857882010-08-08T16:42:17.861-04:002010-08-08T16:42:17.861-04:00Heh. I also did a summer as a governess, and while I ended up feeling exploited, I think I earned (back in the late 60s) $25 a week and got to live on Cape Cod. But it was tiring!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09716705206734059708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15231380.post-7331496765540850162010-08-08T12:10:55.306-04:002010-08-08T12:10:55.306-04:00Nice pictures! Now I get pedis only in the summer, but back then I used to get them year round. They were my one regular luxury in grad school. And I almost always go for deep, bright colors, usually in shades of red.Dr. Viragohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03960384082670286328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15231380.post-52005504062042571142010-08-07T20:43:01.531-04:002010-08-07T20:43:01.531-04:00Looks like a lovely time!
